Alien Physiology- Damage from any attack in excess of 20HP is ignored.  Acid damage affects them as usual.  +10 to CON saves.

When a Yochlol Ancient is brought to 0HP, she may as a reaction, change to another form.  When she changes, her HP goes up to the maximum for the new form.  However, it may not change into a form in which it has been killed in the last 24 hours.  Thus she has to be killed three times, once in each form.

When they die the last time, their flesh turns into thick, strandy yellow goo around rubbery white bones.

All forms have the following powers:

  • Dispel Magic 3x per day
  • Magic Resistance
  • Spider Climb (constant natural ability)


 Gooey Form

Goes up to 66HP

 Actions

Main Strand: 20’ reach, +11 to-hit, 15 bludgeoning damage plus moved up to 15’ in any direction, even through other creatures

Bites x3: 5’ reach, +11 to-hit, 25 piercing damage.

 

Bonus Actions

Glob: bonus action, range 90’ Dex DC 18 or be restrained until one action to remove glob

Mist of Yellow Vapor:  bonus action, Cha DC 18 or Charmed, and 1 Wisdom Damage (30’ line, or 10’ radius)

Sticky Strand: bonus action, Dex DC 18 or Grappled

 

Spider Form

Goes up to 88HP

Sway: 120’, Wis DC 17 to attack or harm in any way, 5’ radius (a target and all standing adjacent), no resave

 Bite: +12 to-hit, 12 piercing damage CON 18 or take 14 (4d6) poison damage, and be weakened (disadvantage on attacks) no re-save (short rest cures)

 Bonus Actions:

Web: Dex Save DC 17 or Restrained until an Action to free 60’ range

Eyes of the Abyss: Gaze attack range 120', Int DC 17 or be at disadvantage for everything, no re-save (duration: encounter)

 

Maiden Form

Goes up to 44HP

Yellow Blade: 3x attacks, +12 to-hit,  4d8 (18) slashing damage.  The blade dissolves when she dies. Counts as magical.

3/Day Acidball (like fireball but acid damage)

 

Bonus Actions:

Dance Away: disengage 20'

Re-weaving: dispel all negative spells on herself

Make 1x Yellow Blade attack

 

  Enhanced Forms:

 Yochlol Dread Mother

Aura of Subdual (enemies cannot take reactions if within 120')  Arcana DC 22 to determine the source.

3/Day Slow

Size: Huge (in spider form, otherwise medium as usual)  HP 280 in spider form.

 

  Yochlol Gatherer

Maiden Form.  No attacks.   

Action: All Yochlol within 60' heal 30HP

Bonus Action: One Yochlol within 60' has a condition removed/cured

Yochlol Pillar of Harmony

Yochlols within one mile gain telepathic web and +4 Initiative.

Yellow pillar form only.  This Yochlol can only take this form, not maiden or spider.  620HP
